Privacy Policy
PolyDroid · Last updated 24 October 2026
PolyDroid does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The application works entirely locally on your Mac: it communicates directly with your connected Android device over USB through the standard Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), and never sends your files, metadata, device identifiers, or any other information over the network. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks, and requires no user accounts.
USB & Device Data
All file reads, writes, directory listings, and streaming previews occur strictly between your Mac and the connected Android device over the physical USB connection. PolyDroid does not scan, index, or inspect file contents other than what you explicitly request in macOS Finder.
Local Data on your Mac
To ensure instantaneous folder opening and prevent USB bus contention, PolyDroid caches directory structures in a temporary local SQLite database on your Mac (located inside the sandboxed app group container). This cache is stored purely locally, updated on demand, and is never transmitted outside your computer.
The app maintains a minimal diagnostic log of connection lifecycle events (such as USB attach, MTP session establishment, and disconnect events) to aid in error reporting. This log never records file names or file contents, and never leaves your Mac unless you explicitly choose to send it to us for technical assistance.
Network & Cloud Permissions
PolyDroid does not request or require outgoing network access for file management. The app operates 100% offline. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service, and no remote server communication.
